About Our Work
Extreme wealth inequality and concentrated ownership of assets are big problems—and getting worse. The returns from economic growth have disproportionately gone to capital and the owners of assets. Too many people are not sharing in the benefits from growth.
We want to help fix this.
We don’t think that traditional ideological frameworks are right. They don’t offer meaningful solutions to the issues and anxieties that young people and working people face. They won’t bring about necessary systemic and enduring changes.
We approach the moment we face with ambition and humility. We hope to drive change by identifying ideas outside conventional political and ideological constructs and actions that may offend those who hold outsized economic and political power.
We do this in two ways: by advancing policy ideas that lead to new opportunities for more people to become owners in the economy, and by challenging conventional economic and policy narratives that have reinforced the power of economic elites and led to more concentrated ownership of the economy.
Our main areas of work
Over the past thirty years, most of the benefits of economic growth have gone to the wealthy. We want to help fix that with ideas and policies that create more opportunities for working people to build wealth and own assets.
